Tom Heding brings more than two decades of consulting and advising experience to every Catholic school he works with. He served the Diocese of San Bernardino for 24 years as a high school principal and Superintendent of Catholic Schools. That experience has given him tremendous insight and understanding of Catholic school operations, planning, and development.
In his tenure with our team, Tom has guided 60 dioceses and 200 Catholic high schools in their transformations. He has also led 39 new school studies. He says the best part about Meitler is the team. Each consultant is adaptable and willing to learn about the unique interests and goals of the organizations they work with and then apply their best practices to develop an achievable action plan grounded in data. He sees Meitler’s primary job as helping leaders to lead their organizations more effectively.
When he is not working, Tom is member of St. Luke Catholic Church and is active with the St. Vincent de Paul Society. He loves reading, traveling, and spelunking.
