Michael Taylor joined the Meitler team in 2021 as Senior Consultant and became Vice President at the start of 2024. He brings strengths in administrative, strategic, and spiritual leadership, with a focus on collaboration and supporting the success of others. His ministry experience includes five years as a Catholic middle school teacher, ten years as principal of Catholic K-8 schools, and eleven years at a Catholic university. At the university level he coordinated ministry formation and leadership development programs that served people working or volunteering in Catholic parishes or schools.
In his time at Meitler, Michael has focused on strategic planning at both the diocesan and individual school levels. He has also conducted studies on Hispanic ministry and student enrollment in various dioceses, and has worked with congregations of women religious to do planning for their retreat and spirituality centers.
Michael has Master’s degrees in Educational Leadership from Marquette University and in Pastoral Studies from Cardinal Stritch University. He serves on the Board of Directors of the National Association for Lay Ministry.
After almost thirty years living in Wisconsin, Michael and his wife are now back in New Mexico where Michael grew up. In his free time, he enjoys hiking, biking, kayaking, and traveling.
